Sr. Production Analyst/Production Analyst

Discovery Natural Resources LLC is a domestic, onshore exploration and production company with over 1,000 wells in operation in Texas.

Perform a variety of tasks to lead production reporting for the company utilizing the ProCount production system. This role will perform routine duties with a great deal of autonomy; work on other projects as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Set up new wells and production objects in ProCount
  • Model facility and operational production flows in ProCount for production allocation
  • Analyze and reconcile daily and monthly volumes for gas/oil/water
  • Review production data to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Identify and analyze volume discrepancies, troubleshoot problems, and resolve appropriately
  • Prepare and submit production data regulatory filings
  • Work closely with field personnel to ensure timely and accurate transmission of production data
  • Validate and reconcile oil invoices/statements to daily and monthly run tickets
  • Input gas volumes from gas statements, validate and reconcile
  • Research and compile production data for engineers, and other stakeholders as requested
  • Incorporate SCADA information into ProCount
  • Ensure internal controls are followed and participate in internal and external audits
  • Assist with departmental projects
  • Work closely with revenue, development, and production engineering groups
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience working with ProCount, eVIN, PetroRegs, and Carte preferred
Skills & Knowledge
  • Commitment to Discovery Natural Resources expectations and core values.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Robust understanding of production accounting, including allocation methods and reconciliations
  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload and strong project management skills
  • Ability to communicate regularly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with management, coworkers, and regulatory agencies

Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated pay range:  $70,000 - $125,000 (depending upon experience of the successful candidate)
