Measurement Foreman

Overview
Discovery Natural Resources LLC is a domestic, onshore exploration and production company with over 1,000 wells in operation in Texas.
The Measurement Foreman coordinates and supervises day to day operations of Measurement personnel. The Foreman is responsible for ensuring that gas and oil measurement meets or exceeds industry and regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Follow and support all Discovery HSE policies.
- Accountable for departmental budgets. Developing, prioritizing, executing, tracking, and meeting budget.
- Leads and manages daily activities of the measurement department, which may include: verifying proper operation of meter and gas sensing equipment, meter calibration, gas sampling, LACT Unit and allocation meter proving, oil sampling, meter repair, maintenance, and installation of gas and oil measurement equipment.
- Coordinates and manages the high-level troubleshooting, measurement problem detection and field balancing services.
- Directs and oversees third party witnessing activities to verify that gatherers, purchasers, contractors and customers are accurately measuring oil and gas volumes.
- Directly responsible for the technical development of company technicians.
- Leads the development and optimization of measurement, policies, procedures, standards and compliance requirements for oil and gas meter calibrations, samplings, equipment testing and software testing.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 15+ years of field measurement related experience
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge

- Must understand process flow.
- Experienced in budgeting and planning.
- Ability to use analytics to inform cost-based decisions.
- Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Competent in API oil measurement standards, API gas measurement standards, and AGA gas measurement standards.
- Familiar with Total Flow and ABB programming language.
- Must be able to set up, troubleshoot, and repair freewave radios and networks.
- Proficient use of computer including Wellview, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Valid driver license and good driving record.
